Users - who is
History model. Why is history needed? View modes.
factCHAT stores all messages in a database on the server. This allows you to browse and search through the history of old messages. Every message has the date, user, color and position stored.
The factCHAT has a number of view modes, in which the user may be. After you enter the chat, you are in online/edit mode. In this mode, you can enter messages, and receive other user's messages. But while you are browsing the history, you are in view mode. In this mode, you cannot enter messages - you have to return to the edit mode to do that.
While in view modes (not standard online/edit mode), the user-list shows the users that were chatting at the time, where you are at the moment. These "view" users are displayed in the users-list with gray background.
The history is different for each chat-room. It's start is at the creation date of the chat-room, and ends at the current moment / last message.
